Biomarker study

Biomarkers are molecular substances that can objectively measure the abnormal state of patients. They can be genes, proteins or metabolites related to specific disease characteristics. It plays an important role in preclinical diagnosis, monitoring treatment response and predicting clinical results. Biomarkers require high sensitivity and specificity. However, single biomarker is difficult to meet the corresponding requirements. Biomarkers can be mined from multiple dimensions by multi omics Technology (such as metabonomics, microbiome, proteome, transcriptome, etc.), and different dimensions can also be verified with each other, so as to excavate high-sensitivity and specific biomarker combinations, which is of great significance for the mechanism research, diagnosis, prevention and control of diseases.

Case Analysis

Time series analysis of human microecology and metabolites in a long-term closed environment

In this study (gut (if = 19.819)), four simulated astronauts were recruited for 180 days of controlled ecological life support system integration test (CELSS). A total of 18 samples were collected. The results of metabonomics and metagenomics of multiple human parts were analyzed to evaluate the interaction between human microecosystem, metabolic homeostasis and closed environment.

The results are as follows
