On August 24, 2026, Biotree officially opened its Singapore laboratory and entered into a strategic partnership with the Singapore Phenome Center (SPC) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to jointly establish a collaborative laboratory. Deng Junliang, CEO of Biotree, Li Zemin, Director of Biotree Singapore, and Liu Yu, Vice Director of Biotree Singapore, attended the event. Also present were Yusuf Ali, Vice Dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU; Sunny Wong, Associate Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU; and Shen Xiaotao, Director of the Singapore Phenome Center (SPC) and Assistant Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU. The two parties will engage in in-depth collaboration across multi-omics fields including metabolomics and proteomics, jointly building a multi-omics innovation platform to provide higher-quality omics technical support for researchers worldwide and promote high-quality industry development.
In conjunction with the opening, a Forum on Frontier Technologies and Applications of Metabolomics was held. Professor Pierce Chow from the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), Assistant Professor Yuan QIAO from NTU, Professor Zhu Zhengjiang from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Assistant Professor Kazuyuki Kasahara from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU were invited to deliver presentations, sharing cutting-edge academic insights.

The event was moderated by Shen Xiaotao, Director of the Singapore Phenome Center (SPC) and Assistant Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU. Yusuf Ali, Vice Dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU, and Sunny Wong, Associate Professor at the same school, delivered welcoming remarks. They congratulated Biotree on the successful establishment of its Singapore laboratory, acknowledged the company's technical capabilities and collaborative foundation as a globally renowned metabolomics testing service provider, and expressed anticipation for both parties to jointly empower the industrial development and application of mass spectrometry-based multi-omics technologies, including metabolomics and proteomics.

Li Zemin, Director of Biotree Singapore, expressed gratitude to the attending guests. He stated that, leveraging this joint laboratory, both parties will fully integrate NTU's top-tier academic resources with Biotree's mature mass spectrometry omics technical service capabilities, advancing joint research projects in key areas including aging-related diseases, maternal and infant health, and precision nutrition. Going forward, the company will continue to provide multi-omics technical services, including metabolomics and proteomics, to research teams worldwide, jointly driving the development and clinical translation of global multi-omics technologies.
During the exchange, Liu Yu, Vice Director of Biotree Singapore, remarked: Biotree pioneered the small-molecule metabolomics research service industry. After 14 years of dedicated development, the company has established a comprehensive mass spectrometry service, built its own metabolite standard database, obtained multiple authoritative industry certifications, and serves numerous universities, hospitals, and biopharmaceutical enterprises across China. The completion of the Singapore laboratory represents a crucial step in Biotree's global strategic positioning. With the local Singapore laboratory platform, overseas research samples can be tested in Singapore, reducing the inconveniences associated with cross-border sample shipping and better serving researchers in Southeast Asia and beyond. The Biotree Singapore x SPC Laboratory is now officially operational and can accept omics testing projects from around the world. Global research samples can be tested in Singapore without remote shipping, effectively reducing cross-border sample transportation risks, shortening project cycles, and providing high-efficiency multi-omics solutions for research teams worldwide.
